The Science of Sleep

ComedyDramaFantasyRomanceSci-Fi105 min

Stephane Miroux drifts between waking life and elaborate, homemade dreams, and the line gets blurrier when he falls for his neighbor in Paris. Gael García Bernal is Stephane, an eccentric young man whose imagination keeps spilling into ordinary moments, while Charlotte Gainsbourg’s Stephanie is pulled into his odd inventions, flirtation, and confusion. Written and directed by Michel Gondry, the film turns clouds, cardboard, and bedroom contraptions into part of Stephane’s private universe as he tries to share it with the woman he loves.
