Poonam, a young woman raised with traditional values, is engaged to Prem, the groom chosen by her uncle. As the families move from formal introductions to wedding preparations, Amrita Rao's Poonam and Prem (Shahid Kapoor) slowly build a relationship within the rituals and expectations around them. The film follows that courtship through household scenes, family ceremonies, and the quiet exchanges that turn an arranged match into something more personal. When a sudden accident threatens to change Poonam's future, the marriage arrangement becomes a test for the couple and the people closest to them.
