After an apocalypse wipes out the adults and leaves Glendale in the hands of teenagers, the city breaks into armed cliques, roaming gangs, and half-wild survivors making rules of their own. Josh sets out across the ruins to find his missing girlfriend, moving from mall strongholds to suburban battlegrounds while dodging threats that are as ridiculous as they are deadly. His search pulls him into shifting alliances with a pyromaniac outcast, a former bully turned swordsman, and other teens trying to claim territory and rewrite who they get to be now. As Josh closes in on what he wants, the world around him grows stranger, bloodier, and harder to trust.
