Julia Roberts is Claire Stenwick, a former government operative who moves into corporate espionage when a valuable medical innovation sets off a battle between rival companies. Across from her, Clive Owen’s Ray Koval shares both her tradecraft and a tangled romantic history, and together they try to outmaneuver their employers while quietly plotting a score of their own. Written and directed by Tony Gilroy, the film threads romance through surveillance, secret meetings, and corporate warfare as Claire and Ray work the same con from opposite sides and keep testing how much they can trust each other.
