Mildred Pierce

CrimeDramaMystery66 min per episode

In Depression-era California, newly divorced Mildred Pierce fights to support her family after her marriage collapses. Shutting out shame and gossip, she takes whatever work she can find and slowly builds a restaurant business of her own. But the success she chases in public is tangled up with what she wants at home: the love and respect of her older daughter Veda, whose ambition and contempt keep widening the distance between them. As money, status, and new relationships reshape their lives, Mildred keeps trying to secure a future that will satisfy Veda and hold her family together. Kate Winslet leads the story, with Guy Pearce in Mildred’s increasingly complicated orbit.
