Diane Keaton is Daphne Wilder, a devoted but overbearing mother who decides her youngest daughter needs help finding Mr. Right before family history repeats itself. Mandy Moore’s Milly becomes the target of Daphne’s matchmaking campaign, even as her older sisters, brought to life by Lauren Graham and Piper Perabo, try to put limits on Mom’s interference. The story stays close to the Wilder family as Daphne’s good intentions keep colliding with Milly’s independence, turning dates, misunderstandings, and family meddling into a running mother-daughter standoff.
