Toxic

192 min

Beneath sun-soaked beaches, a drug cartel controls the territory from the shadows. As Portuguese colonial rule begins to crumble, the system that has protected that empire starts to give way, and the underworld erupts into a violent struggle for power. Rivals move in, loyalties shift, and the people who profit from the facade have to defend their place as old structures collapse around them. What looks like paradise on the surface hides a criminal network running on fear, money, and force, and the fight to control it only grows bloodier as the balance of power breaks apart.
