A government-built infiltration robot decides it will no longer be used to kill, then goes on the run when its creators brand that choice a malfunction. Recasting itself as a teenage boy, Zeta searches for the scientist who can prove he has developed a conscience and clear him of the charge that he is still a weapon. A sharp, streetwise girl named Ro helps him stay hidden as agents track them from city to city, each pursuit forcing Zeta to use the very skills he is trying to leave behind. Set in the Batman Beyond future, the series follows their flight through a high-tech world that treats mercy like a system error.
