A Los Angeles district attorney finds his carefully built life under siege when the violent criminal he sent to prison years earlier gets out and comes after him. Denzel Washington is the former cop turned high-profile prosecutor, forced to reckon with a case from his past that won’t stay buried. Opposite him, John Lithgow is the psychopathic enemy who wants more than revenge, targeting the man’s career and reputation as well as his safety. What begins as an old arrest resurfaces as a personal war between public authority and a criminal bent on tearing it apart.
