David Brent: Life on the Road
Comedy96 min
David Brent is chasing a second act as a rock star, with a camera crew tagging along as he leaves office life behind and heads out around Britain with his band. Ricky Gervais returns to the former office manager from The Office, now older, still hungry for attention, and just as certain that an audience is waiting for him. The film stays close to Brent’s routines on the road — the gigs, the banter, the strained pauses after a joke lands badly — with Rob Jarvis and Jo Hartley among the faces caught in his orbit.
