Winston, a Boston Terrier adopted by a young man named James, watches his owner’s love life unfold one meal at a time. Through burgers, pizza, noodles, and later plates of organic greens, the film follows James’s growing relationship with Kirby, a waitress who changes the rhythm of the apartment and the food in Winston’s bowl. Told from the dog’s point of view, the story turns dinners, leftovers, and takeout into a running record of courtship and domestic change, with voices from Steve Apostolina and Katie Lowes.
