In 1964 Pennsylvania, a local band lands an unexpected hit and gets swept into the machinery of radio, records, and national fame. Tom Everett Scott is the drummer whose quicker tempo helps turn the group into The Wonders, while Tom Hanks steps in as the manager guiding them from small-town gigs to studio sessions and TV appearances.
