Crooked House

CrimeDramaMysteryThriller115 min

When a wealthy family patriarch is murdered in his own mansion, a private investigator is pulled back into a former romance when the victim’s granddaughter asks him to find the killer before the family’s secrets spill out. Max Irons is Charles Hayward, picking through a sprawling estate where nearly every relative has a reason to lie. The household includes the much younger widow, Brenda (Christina Hendricks), and the old man’s steely sister Lady Edith, with Glenn Close giving the family’s inner circle another formidable presence. Adapted from Agatha Christie, the story turns on inheritance, resentment, and the tense dynamics of a rich family under suspicion.
