Downton Abbey: A New Era

DramaMysteryRomance125 min

A surprise inheritance sends the Crawleys to the south of France, where Maggie Smith’s dowager countess is linked to a villa with an unexpected past. Back at Downton, the house is thrown into a different kind of upheaval when a Hollywood director arrives to shoot his latest film on the estate, turning drawing rooms and hallways into a working set. Hugh Bonneville and Elizabeth McGovern return at the center of the family as the story splits between Riviera intrigue and movie-business commotion, keeping the upstairs-downstairs world intact while opening it to new visitors and old questions.
