Cause for Alarm!

CrimeDramaThriller74 min

A housewife wakes to find her bedridden husband feverish, suspicious, and increasingly unhinged. As he dictates a letter to his doctor, what begins as another strained exchange in a tense marriage turns into something far more dangerous: the note contains accusations that could ruin her life if it is mailed. Trapped in the house and under her husband’s watch, she has to keep up a calm front while looking for some way to stop the letter from reaching its destination. Loretta Young carries the story as a woman trying to outthink a sick man who may still have enough control to destroy her, while every errand and interruption tightens the trap.
