Jay and Silent Bob Reboot
ActionAdventureComedy95 min
When Hollywood announces a reboot built around Bluntman and Chronic, Jason Mewes’s Jay drags Kevin Smith’s Silent Bob onto another cross-country mission to stop it before it happens. The road trip sends the longtime duo back through the self-referential world of Smith’s films, with familiar faces turning up along the way, including Ben Affleck and Jason Lee. Part sequel and part send-up of franchise culture, the story keeps circling Jay and Bob’s mix of stoner logic, grudges against the movie business, and a friendship that survives one bad plan after another.
