It's Kind of a Funny Story

ComedyDramaRomance102 min

Craig (Keir Gilchrist), an overwhelmed teenager dealing with depression, checks himself into a psychiatric hospital looking for help and winds up in the adult ward instead. Cut off from school and home, he finds an unexpected guide in one of the patients, with Zach Galifianakis bringing a loose, offbeat warmth to the role. Around group sessions, awkward routines, and tentative new connections, the story follows Craig as he tries to steady himself and make sense of the pressure that pushed him there, while his family and a possible romance remain waiting outside the ward.
