Margot at the Wedding
ComedyDrama93 min
Margot, a sharp-tongued short story writer, arrives unannounced at her family’s seaside home on the eve of her estranged sister’s wedding, bringing her teenage son and a habit of saying the thing everyone else would leave unsaid. Nicole Kidman is Margot, whose uneasy reunion with Pauline (Jennifer Jason Leigh) quickly stirs old grievances. Jack Black’s Malcolm, Pauline’s unemployed fiancé, becomes another flashpoint as wedding plans move forward. What starts as a visit to reconnect turns into a tense family gathering full of needling remarks, sibling rivalry, and secrets that sit just beneath the surface.
