Midnight Cowboy

Drama113 min

Joe Buck arrives in late-1960s New York from Texas, convinced he can make a living hustling wealthy women. Jon Voight is Joe, all swagger and misplaced confidence, until the city pushes him into an uneasy partnership with Enrico “Ratso” Rizzo, a streetwise drifter with a bad leg and his own plan to get to Florida. Dustin Hoffman’s Ratso needles, cons, and leans on Joe as the two scrape by on the city’s margins. Around them, Manhattan comes through in crowded streets, cheap rooms, and fragmented flashes that turn their odd alliance into something more complicated than a scam.
