After her grandmother dies, eight-year-old Nelly is taken to her mother’s childhood home, where the adults clear out the house and she drifts into the nearby woods. Joséphine Sanz is Nelly, a quiet, observant child who meets Marion (Gabrielle Sanz), another girl her age who feels uncannily familiar from the start. As the two build a hut, share lunches, and talk with an unusual ease, the line between past and present begins to blur. What starts as a child’s friendship becomes a way for Nelly to face her loss and see her mother differently.
