The Unsinkable Molly Brown

ComedyMusicalRomanceWestern128 min

After surviving a flood as a baby, Molly Brown grows into a determined young woman in boomtown Colorado, bluffing her way into a saloon job and then into a marriage that carries her from Leadville to Denver high society. Debbie Reynolds is Molly, charging ahead with frontier nerve, while Harve Presnell’s Johnny Brown strikes it rich and discovers that money doesn’t guarantee a place among the city’s elite. As the Browns chase status, royal connections, and acceptance in a world that looks down on them, Molly’s restless ambition takes her from mining-town roots to Europe and, eventually, aboard the Titanic.
