In St. Louis, three adults stuck in middle-age malaise slide into a love triangle shadowed by a death. Jason Bateman and Linda Cardellini are part of the knot at its center, where dating apps, sign language, and furtive observation turn private dissatisfaction into something harder to contain. What starts as an intimate tangle of desire, boredom, and secrecy gradually opens into a mystery grounded in recognizable routines and local detail.
