Diabolique

CrimeDramaHorrorMysteryThriller117 min

At a boys' boarding school, the abused wife of headmaster Michel Delassalle conspires with the woman he openly keeps as a mistress to murder him. Véra Clouzot is Christina, frail and cornered; Simone Signoret gives Nicole a colder, more controlled presence. But once Paul Meurisse's Michel is dead, the plan refuses to stay buried: the body disappears, the school fills with unsettling signs that he may not be gone, and the alliance between the two women starts to crack.
