Land of the Dead

HorrorSci-FiThriller93 min

In George A. Romero’s post-apocalyptic world, the last humans crowd into a walled city where privilege is protected as fiercely as survival. Dennis Hopper’s Paul Kaufman rules from the top, enforcing brutal class lines, while Cholo DeMora (John Leguizamo), his second-in-command, begins to turn against the system he helps run. Beyond the barricades, supply runs mean facing a landscape overrun by the dead, and those dead are starting to change. The film shifts between fortified luxury, street-level resentment, and the pressure building outside the walls as the city’s order starts to crack.
