Anbu, a cheerful teacher in Pondicherry, falls for Jessica, the British English teacher who joins his school, and the romance quickly becomes a problem far beyond the classroom. Sivakarthikeyan is Anbu, trying to win her over while navigating pushback at home, and Maria Ryaboshapka's Jessica brings a cross-cultural spark that unsettles some people around them. As Anbu argues for the match, he also has to reckon with his father's objections and the shadow of a family history shaped by a freedom-fighter grandfather. School corridors, family clashes, and local opinion all press in on the relationship.
