Masters of Sex

DramaRomance60 min per episode

In a 1950s Midwestern teaching hospital, Dr. William Masters begins a controversial study of human sexuality and finds an essential partner in Virginia Johnson, a single working mother whose blunt intelligence changes the work and his life. Michael Sheen is Masters, a gifted physician who can measure desire more easily than he can manage his own feelings; Lizzy Caplan's Johnson brings practical insight and a sharper read on the people around them. As their research moves from the lab to national attention, the series follows the professional fallout, private complications, and shifting culture surrounding two figures who changed how America talked about sex.
