Aaron Falk returns to his drought-stricken Australian hometown for the funeral of a childhood friend accused of killing his wife and child, and the trip reopens a death the town never put to rest. Eric Bana is Falk, now a federal agent, drawn into questions around the family tragedy while old suspicions about the unsolved death of teenager Ellie Deacon rise back to the surface.
