Spy Kids 2: Island of Lost Dreams
ActionAdventureComedyFamilySci-Fi100 min
Now working as Level 2 OSS agents, Carmen and Juni Cortez are sent to a remote volcanic island to recover a stolen device, only to find a mad scientist, a pair of rival young spies, and a landscape full of hybrid creatures. Alexa PenaVega is the more seasoned Carmen alongside Daryl Sabara’s Juni as the siblings discover that none of their gadgets work on the island. Antonio Banderas and Carla Gugino return as their spy parents, with Steve Buscemi turning up at the center of the island’s strange experiments. Robert Rodriguez pushes the series deeper into creature-feature territory without leaving the family-spy setup behind.
