The Almond and the Seahorse

DramaRomance96 min

For Gwen, every morning begins in 1999: the face in the mirror is unfamiliar, and the partner beside her feels like a stranger. Elsewhere, Joe's past is starting to come undone, leaving Sarah to face the possibility of being forgotten by the man she loves. Charlotte Gainsbourg, Trine Dyrholm, Rebel Wilson, and Celyn Jones are part of an ensemble built around two couples living with the aftermath of traumatic brain injury and anterograde amnesia, as a determined doctor tries to keep their lives from splitting apart. Based on a stage play, the film stays close to the intimate strain memory loss puts on love and daily life.
