The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath!

ComedyDramaRomance192 min

After a New Year’s Eve trip to the bathhouse with friends, a mild-mannered Moscow doctor ends up drunk, put on a plane by mistake, and delivered to Leningrad instead of home. The absurd part is that nothing seems wrong at first: the city has the same street names, the same apartment blocks, even an identical key that opens the door to what should be a stranger’s flat. When the apartment’s owner returns, a baffling mix-up turns into an overnight standoff, then into an uneasy connection as both try to untangle fiancés, expectations, and the chance that a mistake has dropped them into the wrong life at exactly the right moment.
