I Love You Phillip Morris

ComedyCrimeDramaRomance102 min

Steven Russell leads a tidy Texas life as a church organist, husband, and police officer until a car crash pushes him to live openly as a gay man. Jim Carrey is Steven, whose expensive new life soon runs on insurance scams, fake identities, and one fraud after another, eventually landing him in prison. There he meets Phillip Morris (Ewan McGregor), a soft-spoken fellow inmate who becomes the focus of Steven’s increasingly elaborate efforts to build a life with him outside the penitentiary.
