Airheads

ComedyCrime92 min

The Lone Rangers, a broke heavy-metal band with one demo tape and no way onto the air, take over a Los Angeles rock station with water pistols and demand airtime. Brendan Fraser is the group’s frontman, with Steve Buscemi as one of his equally frustrated bandmates, turning a stunt born from desperation into an escalating hostage situation. Inside the station, deejays and executives scramble to keep control while police gather outside. The setup turns music-industry frustration into a broad 1990s comedy built around hard-rock posturing, band chemistry, and a very flimsy criminal plan.
