Brubaker

CrimeDrama131 min

Posing as a new inmate, Henry Brubaker enters an Arkansas prison farm to see its violence and corruption from the inside before revealing himself as the new warden. Robert Redford’s Brubaker sets out to clean up a system built on abuse, intimidation, and backroom protection, putting him at odds with the officials who benefit from keeping things buried. Yaphet Kotto and Jane Alexander are part of the world around him as the prison’s routines, records, and hierarchy come under scrutiny. Inspired by a true scandal, the story stays focused on the fight inside the walls and the resistance waiting at every level.
