In a city where crime runs through every level of power, young detective Jim Gordon joins the Gotham City Police Department just after the murder of Bruce Wayne’s parents. Working homicide with the rough, compromised Harvey Bullock, he tries to solve headline crimes while navigating crooked cops, gang bosses, and officials who treat the law as another weapon. Bruce, still a grieving child, starts to see how deep the corruption goes around his family’s name. As Gordon pushes cases that should stay buried, familiar criminals begin to emerge, and routine investigations turn into the first steps toward Gotham’s long war between order and chaos.
