A young New York photographer begins an online friendship with a family he meets on Facebook, and the connection quickly narrows to one woman he starts to fall for. As messages, photos, and phone calls pile up, the relationship feels intimate even though it exists almost entirely through screens. Nev is being filmed by his brother Ariel Schulman and their friend Henry Joost as small inconsistencies begin to surface. What starts as a record of internet courtship turns into an investigation of who is really on the other end of the profile, and of how easily a life can be built, edited, and hidden online.
