Stakeout

ActionAdventureComedyCrimeRomanceThriller117 min

Two Seattle detectives are assigned to watch the ex-girlfriend of an escaped convict, hoping she’ll lead them back to him. Richard Dreyfuss is Chris, a wisecracking veteran cop paired with Emilio Estevez’s younger, more tightly wound Bill for a round-the-clock stakeout. From a parked car across the street, the two settle into surveillance on Maria (Madeleine Stowe), posing as ordinary neighbors while they wait for a break in the case. The assignment starts to slip when Chris gets personally involved with the woman he’s supposed to be watching.
