Nicolas Cage is Randall Raines, a retired master car thief pulled back in when his younger brother Kip (Giovanni Ribisi) botches a job and ends up owing crime boss Raymond Calitri. To keep Kip alive, Randall has one night to steal 50 cars, so he reunites a crew of mechanics, boosters, and old partners, with Angelina Jolie and Robert Duvall among the faces in his corner. The job runs on split-second timing and detailed car thefts, while detectives track the crew and stolen vehicles keep turning the night into a pursuit.
