America's Sweethearts

ComedyRomance102 min

A studio tries to salvage the release of a big movie when its famous married stars split in spectacular fashion and turn the press tour into a public disaster. As gossip builds and reporters circle, the couple’s stressed publicist scrambles to stage a reunion long enough to sell the film. But the plan gets messier once old resentments, vanity, and jealousy start spilling out behind the scenes. In the middle is the actress’s overlooked sister, who has spent years cleaning up the chaos and suddenly finds herself caught between the exes. Julia Roberts and John Cusack are folded into a Hollywood farce about image, damage control, and romance breaking loose where it is least convenient.
