Duel

ActionAdventureThriller90 min

Traveling businessman David Mann is crossing the California desert when a passing slight turns a rusty tanker truck into a deadly pursuer. Dennis Weaver is Mann, a salesman on an ordinary drive who suddenly finds himself stalked mile after mile by a mostly unseen driver, through lonely stretches of highway, gas stations, and railroad crossings. Directed by Steven Spielberg, the film keeps its focus on Mann’s growing panic as his Plymouth Valiant is forced into a brutal cat-and-mouse chase with an eighteen-wheeler that won’t let him get ahead—or safely pull away.
