His Three Daughters
ComedyDrama104 min
Three estranged sisters crowd back into a cramped New York City apartment to care for their ailing father in his final days, and old resentments surface almost as quickly as the logistics of caregiving. Carrie Coon is Katie, a Brooklyn mother who defaults to control; Natasha Lyonne's Rachel has never really left their father's place, where sports betting, weed, and years of arrested routine have made her a target for her half-sisters' judgment. Elizabeth Olsen completes the trio as Christina, whose life and approach to motherhood sit somewhere between the other two. In close quarters, grief and family history keep pressing to the surface.
