Fresh off the bus in Las Vegas, Nomi Malone is a drifter with dancer’s ambition and no safety net. Elizabeth Berkley is Nomi, taking a job at a strip club while angling for a place in the big casino revues on the Strip. When Cristal (Gina Gershon), the star of the Stardust’s “Goddess” show, notices her talent, the attention opens doors and starts a rivalry inside a world run by entertainment directors, bouncers, and headliners. Kyle MacLachlan’s Zack hovers at the center of that scene as Nomi pushes toward the spotlight in Paul Verhoeven’s glossy, cutthroat Vegas.
