In 1980s Los Angeles, a young street hustler steps into the early crack cocaine trade just as the city begins to change around him. What starts as a chance to make money quickly grows into a violent, expanding business that pulls in dealers, families, and neighborhoods block by block. As Franklin Saint builds connections and tries to stay ahead, the drug economy tightens its grip on South Central, bringing police pressure, rival crews, and corruption with it. Damson Idris leads the story at street level, while the series also follows the wider forces feeding the crisis, linking personal ambition to the systems that let the damage spread.
