On the brink of the Second World War, Gunnar Sønsteby is a young Norwegian whose refusal to accept Nazi rule pushes him toward the resistance. As Norway is drawn into occupation, the film follows how one man’s decision to fight begins to alter both his own future and the course of his country. Sjur Vatne Brean leads the story at the center of that turn, with Erik Hivju and Lisa Loven Kongsli among the people around him as private choices become part of a wider wartime struggle.
