At her high school, Natalie seems to have everything mapped out until the arrival of an aloof new student throws her off balance. Elisabeth Harnois is Natalie, a popular, tightly wound overachiever drawn to Jesse McCartney’s Keith, whose teasing unpredictability and refusal to fit in slowly push her outside her usual orbit. What starts with mixed signals and awkward chemistry turns into a friendship that unsettles Natalie’s place in the social order. As they grow closer, she begins to suspect that Keith is hiding something, and their relationship is tested by a secret she can’t explain away.
