The Paperboy

CrimeDramaMysteryThriller107 min

A reporter returns to his Florida hometown to investigate the case of a man on death row, and the story quickly pulls in his younger brother and a woman obsessed with the inmate’s fate. Matthew McConaughey is Miami journalist Ward Jansen; Nicole Kidman’s mysterious pen pal is the loudest voice insisting the condemned man is innocent. In 1960s Florida, the search for answers moves from the prison to the newspaper office and out into a swampy small-town world where rumor and violence sit close together.
