ComedyCrimeDramaMystery43 min per episode

In Santa Barbara, a slacker with razor-sharp observational skills talks his way into police work by pretending to be psychic. Shawn Spencer consults for the department on murders, thefts, and other cases, spotting details everyone else misses while trying to keep his secret from collapsing under scrutiny. His reluctant partner and best friend Gus gets pulled into the act, helping Shawn chase leads, bluff detectives, and stay one step ahead of his own lies. As the cases pile up, Shawn also has to deal with his demanding former-detective father, whose training made him this good in the first place and who knows exactly how much of the act is performance.
