Terri (Taraji P. Henson), a wife and mother of two in suburban Atlanta, lets a stranded stranger use her phone during a rainstorm and quickly realizes she has invited an escaped convict into her home. Idris Elba is Colin, calm and charming at first, then increasingly threatening as Terri’s small act of kindness turns into a home invasion. What begins with car trouble and polite conversation narrows into a fight for control of the house, with Terri trying to protect her children and stay ahead of a man who keeps shifting from disarming to dangerous.
