Twenty-seven-year-old Taeko Okajima leaves Tokyo for a holiday in the countryside with her relatives, expecting a simple break from city life. Instead, the trip keeps pulling her back to fifth grade, as ordinary moments on the train, in the fields, and around the family home stir vivid memories of being ten. The film moves between Taeko’s adult visit and the small joys, embarrassments, and disappointments of childhood, showing how unfinished feelings still shape the choices in front of her. As the days pass, the country’s slower rhythms force her to look closely at the life she has built and the self she once imagined becoming.
