Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty
ComedyDramaSport58 min per episode
In 1980s Los Angeles, a struggling Lakers franchise is reshaped when businessman Jerry Buss buys the team and bets big on a faster, flashier future. The series follows the push to build “Showtime” around rookie Magic Johnson and center Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, while money problems, clashing egos, and pressure from every side threaten the plan before it can take hold. On the court, the team has to learn how to win together; off it, coaches, executives, and owners fight over control of a dynasty still taking shape. John C. Reilly and Quincy Isaiah are folded into a story about ambition, celebrity, and the machinery behind a basketball empire.
