Is This Thing On?

ComedyDrama124 min

Alex is staring down middle age and an impending divorce when he looks for a second act in New York’s stand-up scene. Will Arnett is Alex, testing out personal material at open mics while his home life is being dismantled, and Laura Dern’s Tess is forced to confront what marriage and motherhood have cost her as they try to become co-parents instead of spouses. Directed by Bradley Cooper, the film keeps one foot in comedy clubs and the other in the private negotiations of a family figuring out what comes next.
